Sušňová, Jana ; Vágner, Jiří (advisor) ; Křížová, Markéta (referee)
Tourism is one of the progressively evolving fields and due to the influence of globalization has become attractive and easily accessible matter for a broad group of people across the continents. Economical aspects of this perspective branch supported generally uncritical perception of phenomena called tourism. In recent years, however the negative impact of mass tourism became the subject of discussion and efforts are being made to find alternative forms which respect the environment and contribute to the development of the visited regions. The aim of thesis is study of ecotourism and biospheres reserves. Both concepts contribute to the achievement of sustainable development in Latin America. Biosphere Reserves based on the effort of harmonious coexistence between man and nature are the ideal environment for the application of the principles of sustainability. Ecotourism in Latin American practice is analyzed on the basis of case studies from Costa Rica and the Galapagos Islands. Operation, management and benefits of biosphere reserves for the region demonstrate examples of Guatemala and Costa Rica. Keywords: biosphere reserve; ecotourism; Latin America; sustainable development

The theoretical part describes specific terms connected with the hospitality industry, ecohotels, green management and various ecological awards. They enable better understanding of the practical part of the thesis. The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to identify the impact of the awareness of diverse environmental awards on the customer's choice of hotels. A survey addressing this problematique whose results are analysed at the end of the practical part was used in order to evaluate the results properly. The survey analysis indicates the postitive attitude of respondents to environ-mental procedures, which are used in hotels. However, the knowledge of ecological awards is not a key factor which could influence the demand of accomodation.
Udržitelný rozvoj venkova Moravských Kopanic
Kundratová, Eliška
This thesis, on the topic of Sustainable rural development of Moravské Kopanice, is aimed at evaluating the current state of sustainability in the mentioned area and considering its future development with respect to local specifics. Sustainability was evaluated in individual pillars (social, economic, environmental) using both statistical data and data obtained from interviews and questionnaires, conducted in the area in spring 2019. The results were subsequently summarized in SWOT analysis. The research showed that although each pillar has both strong and weak points, for this area the economic pillar is the weakest, while the environmental one is the strongest. Support for the development of environmentally friendly tourism, which could become a suitable tool for sustainable development of this region, appears to be the most perspective for the future.

Kořánová, Anna ; Kuřík, Bohuslav (advisor) ; Tenzin, Eva (referee)
My thesis focuses on the problems of ecotourism, or more precisely its borders from an anthropological perspective, using example of a typical Cambodian community named Chambok. Based on five months of research, together with ethnographic methods of research I found out that boundaries of ecotourism are complex, multi-layered, problematic and negotiated and also that there are so called "grey zones" encompassing them. It is the conceptualization of these zones and boundaries, which is my contribution to current anthropological debate about ecotourism, which has been largely left out until now.

Ecotourism and sustainability in protected areas of the Czech Republic
Jonák, Michal ; Rynda, Ivan (advisor) ; Ulčák, Zbyněk (referee)
The main research objective of this master thesis paper is discovering links between ecotourism and sustainability. The paper is specifically focusing on theoretical potential of ecotourism and its ability to create conditions for long-term sustainability. The theoretical potential of ecotourism is confronted with opinion of experts within semi-structured interviews, which are analysed using framework analysis. The compatibility of ecotourism and sustainability is then closely examined in a case study of Slavkovsky les protected area. The case study shows that development of sustainability through ecotourism (or tourism) can be expected under certain conditions. The case study results also indicate that it is possible to create a simplified theoretical model, which can be applied to other suitable protected areas in the Czech Republic if appropriate modifications take place. More detailed research of individual sustainability aspects recognized in ecotourism could possibly deliver a more precise and specific model. This model could then provide a more reliable framework to estimate the potential of individual protected areas to use ecotourism as its development tool. Key words: tourism, ecotourism, sustainable tourism, sustainability, sustainable development, protected areas, framework analysis
